Accessibility Information

At the Hockley Hustle festival, we like to make sure everyone is happy, safe and having the best time possible. Got any questions about our accessibility for the festival? Shoot your queries or concerns to danny@hockleyhustle.co.uk

Ear plugs

Pick up a pair of ear plugs for the festival

Hockley Hustle is a non-stop party and it can get pretty loud at some venues. If you require ear plugs for accessibility needs, or just want a bit of peace and quiet, you can pick up a pair to take with you round the festival. Ask at the wristband exchange if you need ear plugs.

Queue Skip

Accommodations for those who need. Available from 11am.

If queues are too demanding, we encourage those who need it to skip the queue. Just speak to a member of the festival team near the wristband exchange and say that you require to skip the queue for your access needs. Our team will be happy to help get your wristband sooner so you can start enjoying the festival without the extra hassle!

Carer/Assistance

Free access for carers – let us know in advance!

If you require assistance / a carer to attend the festival with you, then your carer will get free access to the festival!

On the day

We are proud to collaborate with several accessibility groups across the city and county for this year’s Hockley Hustle festival. This partnership ensures that as many people as possible, including you, can access the festival's fun and feel part of our inclusive community!

On the day, venues will display their accessibility information with posters on the outside. For your comfort and convenience, earplugs are available upon request at the wristband exchange, and if you ask one of the security members there, a queue skip service is also available, ensuring a more accessible experience for all attendees.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss any concerns or thoughts about your day at the festival, contact us at danny@hockleyhustle.co.uk or through our social media. Additionally, we’d love to hear how we did. If you have any thoughts, ideas, or feelings about our services, you can email your feedback or fill out any part of our feedback form. Your feedback is important to us and helps us improve. Happy Hustling!

Quiet Area
Our sensory-friendly space for those who may need a break.
If you or someone you know is feeling overwhelmed and needs a quiet space, we have a dedicated area that’s sensory-friendly. On the day, large signs will be around the festival to direct those to the quiet area at:

Broadway Cinema Library,
14-18 Broad St,
NG1 3AL
located on Level -1 (accessible via the lift), just outside the lift doors

The space includes ear defenders, a chill zone, and fidget toys. If you need extra assistance, our helpful volunteers are also briefed to be able to direct you/others to this area if asked.
signage
Look out for our accessibility info signposted around the festival.
We’ve tried to make our festival as accessible as possible so everyone can join in on the fun. Large signs will be around the festival directing those who need to our quiet area and accessible toilets, and all venues will have their accessibility info clearly marked on posters outside. We're also using hazard tape to outline steps for those with visual impairments. If you need further assistance getting around, please don’t hesitate to speak to a member of festival staff (the bubbly ones with Hockley Hustle lanyards!) who will be more than happy to help.
Checking venues
Check out our lineups page for full accessibility info.
For Hockley Hustle this year, our website lets you filter for which venues have wheelchair access and when you click on a lineup/venue, it will provide further details (step access, pathways for wheelchairs, accessible toilets, and drop-off points) on the "View Accessibility info" tab as some venues differ in their accommodations. Don’t worry if you don’t have time to check out our website (we know you’re probably busy groovin')– all venues will also have their accessibility info clearly marked on posters outside on the day.
