Broadway – Nottingham City of Literature

Nottingham City of Literature present the Hockley Hustle Poetry Lab.

Poetry slams and spoken word nights are bringing words to life almost nightly across the city. Join poets Cleo Asabre-Holt, Tyrone Moran-Healy and Chris McLoughlin, and Nottingham Young Poet Laurate Georgina Wilding for a special spoken word poetry workshop at Hockley Hustle!

This FREE workshop is open to young people aged 14 to 25, and is part of the Nottingham Young Poets Project, funded by Arts Council England.

We’ll be writing about identity, community and the city, and we’ll be working towards a fantastic collaborative poem for Nottingham, which will then be featured in the upcoming Nottingham Young Poets poetry anthology (published by Big White Shed).

So, if you’d like to take part, sign up for the workshop and we’ll see you at Broadway Cinema on Sunday 28th October from 1pm to 4pm!

Places on the Poetry Lab are free, but space is limited, so please book in advance by clicking here.
