Emmanuel House – WSO

Emmanuel House is based in the heart of Hockley. The centre supports some of the most vulnerable citizens in the city ‘without prejudice or judgment’. It provides ‘diverse and accessible services that both meet basic needs and empower individuals’ to overcome their adversity. More info here: www.emmanuelhouse.org.uk/

During the Hustle, the centre will be open between 3pm and 6pm. A range of local musical and spoken word talent will be performing in an accessible family-friendly atmosphere; doors will be open for members of the public to pop in for a brew and a snack, listen to quality live music and spoken word, and find out more about the vital work of the centre.

We Shall Overcome is a nationwide movement of musicians, poets, etc, who organize gigs in their local area to support local services providing support for folk hardest hit by austerity. The local group is here: www.facebook.com/groups/wsonottingham/ and we’re @wso_notts on twitter.

There are no fixed performance times for the open house. Musicians will perform their own songs and lead singalongs.
