QUEER HUSTLE
Queer Hustle takes over two venues to celebrate Nottingham’s vibrant queer scene. Keep an eye out for their exclusive zine and the accompanying exhibition at Broadway Cinema Gallery in the week leading up to the festival.
In Unnamed drag’s safe hands prepare for a big Sunday funday with games upstairs and the garden (should the heavens allow it), sit down drag performances in the infamous Prohibition bar and with the classic flair of Nottingham’s most glamorous queens and kings head over to the Lord Roberts on Broad Street for a full-throttle drag queen takeover. From 2pm until late, the venue will be bursting with fabulous chaos, think Drag Karaoke, a razor-sharp Drag Comedy Roast, musical mayhem with Drag Musical Bingo, glitter-soaked Drag Cabaret, and the iconic Drag Bingo split between the Prohibition Bar downstairs and the upstairs stage. Starring the wicked witch of the East Midlands Marilyn Sane, the world’s oldest girl Nana Arthole, the hairiest woman in showbusiness Liv, the d*ckless twink of Nottingham Bella Bestia, and the unstoppable Vayne, creator, performer, supermodel, this is drag at its boldest and brashest. With shows downstairs, interactive games upstairs, and sing-a-longs and karaoke to keep you dancing into the night, you could spend your whole Hustle day at Robby’s surrounded by a gang of fabulous cross-dressers, with never a dull moment guaranteed. It’s all drag, babes.
Queerish will be serving up the incredible world of voguing, waacking and ballroom to the hustle. In the lead up to the fest there will be workshops to get involved with to prepare your routines, on the day of the Hustle there will be talks about the scene and Queerish will host a ballroom with judges, DJs and energy to bring the house down. Queerish was set up at the start of 2024 quickly growing into a vibrant event celebrating everything queer hosting many events spanning multiple genres including their Queer Proms. Now bringing a Hockley Hustle first to get down for an event like no other…

These will be distributed in the build up and on the day to get everyone up to speed on who's who and what's what. A brilliant keep sake, keep your eye out for this limited release as there is a limited amount being printed for this year's hustle!
Queer-up duck has asked the community of Nottingham to nominate the Queer-scene makers of the city! Having hosted their inaugural festival last year, QUD is leading the charge for the queer community of Nottingham, ingrained in the inner workings of the community, alongside the Hockley Hustle those selected will be interviewed and photographed, which will form a collection celebrating their contributions to the city and scene and it will be exhibited at the Broadway Gallery the week before the festival. Make sure you pop by for either the launch event or any of the days leading up to the festival to see the great work done, if you don’t get the chance, on the day keep an eye out for the profiles as they will be up around venues throughout Hockley.
